Film is a form of short documentary film that existed from the 1910s to 1960s, which was actively released on public premises and contained filmed news stories and material from topics of interest. It was a source of news, current coverage, and entertainment for millions of movie-goers until television replaced its role in the 1950s. News films are Annabelle Comes Home considered significant historical documents, since they are often only audiovisual recordings of historical and cultural events from those periods. Later that month, it was announced that the film would be another installment in the Annabelle series, with Gary Dauberman signed on to write and direct the film in his directorial debut, based on a story treatment written by Dauberman and James Wan. During the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con, Wan and Safran revealed the film's events would take place after Annabelle and would focus on the doll after she had been placed in a glass case in the Warrens' museum.
However, this sort of emphasis makes the natural essence of turmoil within the movie's concept blurry, unheavy and inconsequential. The most things it failed to do is to keep the viewers' engagement with the characters. Some of these characters is lacking strong qualities of dimention in their traits. It did not deliver the scare factor, and if it did, the execution is not strong enough. Imagine a war without any explosion, no damage dealt, and no one have gotten into a serious war shock after the climatic commotions – this is how I felt watching this movie.
